This term at Sinethemba, our classes have been focusing on the exciting theme “My Body” — discovering all the amazing ways our bodies can move and celebrating what makes each of us unique.
The children have been fully engaged in a variety of fun and interactive activities. From tracing their bodies to creating expressive faces, the classrooms have been filled with creativity, laughter, and joy. These experiences not only build self-awareness but also encourage each child to embrace their individuality in a meaningful and uplifting way.
Of course, learning about our bodies wouldn’t be complete without plenty of movement! Our children have been keeping active through a range of exciting gross motor activities, including fantastic obstacle courses set up by our therapists. Crawling, climbing, balancing, and jumping — everyone gave it their all. It has been truly inspiring to watch their confidence grow as they explore and discover what their bodies can do.
To top it all off, we recently enjoyed a refreshing break from the heat with a fun-filled pool party. The children had an absolute blast cooling off, splashing around, and spending time with their friends. It was, without a doubt, the BEST day!
We love seeing our children learn through play, movement, and shared experiences. Keep on moving, kids!
We look forward to hearing from you – Please join us in supporting those in need.
