March marked an important and meaningful start to the year at Sinethemba, as we hosted our first parent meetings for 2026 —bringing together families, staff, and our growing community.
On 17 March, we held the first parent meeting for our Adult Social Group members. It was a relaxed and welcoming gathering, where parents had the opportunity to sit down for a cup of tea with our new Community Worker Assistants. This informal setting created the perfect space to get to know one another while discussing the plans and goals for the year ahead. It was a wonderful start to building strong relationships with our Adult Group families.
Just two days later, on 19 March, we hosted our broader parent meeting. We were delighted to warmly welcome our new parents into the Sinethemba family, while reconnecting with familiar faces. These meetings are not only an opportunity to share important information, but also to encourage parents to connect with one another, building a network of support, understanding, and encouragement.
A number of key topics were discussed, ensuring that all families feel informed, involved, and supported in their child’s development and in the life of the centre. We were especially grateful for the thoughtful and positive feedback received, which helps guide us as we continue to grow and improve.
These gatherings remind us of the strength of our community and the importance of walking this journey together. We look forward to many more opportunities throughout the year to connect, share, and support one another.
We look forward to hearing from you – Please join us in supporting those in need.
