This term at Sinethemba Special Care Centre, our children explored the theme “The People Who Help Us” as part of their learning program. The activities were designed to help them understand and appreciate the special roles played by those who care for and support them every day.
The children learned about the caring staff who provide love and guidance, the driver who ensures they travel safely, the cook who prepares their meals with care, the cleaner who keeps their spaces fresh and welcoming, and the admin staff who help the centre run smoothly.
They also discovered the important work of doctors and nurses, who keep us healthy and provide comfort when we are unwell. Through storytelling, role play, and fun interactive activities, the children learnt how each person contributes to their well-being.
This learning journey encouraged gratitude for the many helping hands that make Sinethemba a safe and nurturing place. The smiles on their faces showed just how much they enjoyed learning about the everyday heroes around them.
We look forward to hearing from you – Please join us in supporting those in need.
