Sinethemba receives much needed financial relief and a fresh make over.

This has truly been an exciting term. We are so grateful to report that Sinethemba was successful with a funding proposal with a Foundation that really supports wonderful and deserving Organizations in the Western Cape. Funding has been made available for our Therapy project with the main objective to ensure that each child is given the necessary and much needed therapy and
support to become as independent as possible. By reaching this goal it enables a child, who has the ability, to be referred to a main stream school i.e. LSEN schools (Learners with Special Educational Needs). We are so grateful to this Foundation for supporting this project and enabling Sinethemba to focus on our therapy goals and reach as many children as possible.

Part of the funds received from the Foundation was earmarked for much needed paint work as well. We received names from wonderful paint contractors from Debbie Gunning from Paintsmiths. After several quotes were received, the amazing quote from Revival Painters (in collaboration with Paintsmiths) allowed us to paint Sinethemba on the inside and the outside. This was a much needed project as the largest part of the Sinethemba building (Phase 1 that was built in 2006) has not had a
fresh coat of paint since the buildings’ opening in September 2006.

The painting project commenced 27 June 2025 and with lots of hard work and dedication from Revival Painters during the July holiday period, with many rainy and cold days, the project was concluded on 15 July 2025. We are extremely grateful to this Foundation and to the painting team that made this project a reality. We are looking forward to welcoming the children back to their fresh new classrooms on 22 July 2025 when the third term starts. What an exciting way to start the second half of 2025!
