On the 13th November 2023, Makaton SA held a workshop at Sinethemba Special Care Centre for the parents and caregivers of the Sinethemba children. Makaton is a sign language that we use at the centre to help our children to communicate their needs to us. We are so grateful for this workshop as it opens the door of communication to our parents. Being able to communicate their needs is so vital to our children and Makaton SA is such a valued resource to the centre.
